The Electoral Roll is the basic list in every parish of all those entitled to vote on elections within the Church of England. Those entitled to have their names on this roll have to be 16 years of age or more and they must reside in the relevant parish or be regular worshippers in the church whose roll they wish to join. The roll is reviewed annually and is completely renewed every six years, at which point all members have to re-apply for membership or their names will be deleted.  By this means, the continuing validity of the roll is maintained.

If you wish to be on the roll and meet the criteria which is set out on the application form, please then complete and sign the form and return it to church or to the Electoral Roll Officer, Carol Barton. 01254 813480 (e-mail

Only those on the electoral roll are permitted to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. For matters of Baptisms, Confirmation, Weddings and Funerals as long as the person or family has a connection with the church, then this is sufficient for such matters.

To ascertain whether, or not, your home is situated within the parish boundary of Balderstone, you can access an interactive map on the Parish Council website.

** Application forms are available from church or can be downloaded below.**
